Overview

This entry-level Software Engineer role is ideal for early-career technologists (typically less than two years of professional experience) who are motivated to learn, iterate quickly, and contribute to product-quality software. The confidential client will align you to a team based on your skills and interests — frontend, backend, fullstack, or mobile — to give you a meaningful, hands-on start to your engineering career.

Responsibilities

Frontend Engineering:

• Develop scalable, responsive, and dynamic web applications.
• Work with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Implement standards-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with designers, UX specialists, and backend engineers to ship polished user experiences.

Backend Engineering:

• Build web services and server-side components using languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and service endpoints.
• Use server frameworks like Express, Spring MVC, or Django.

Fullstack Engineering:

• Combine frontend and backend responsibilities as needed for deliverables.
• Participate in application and API architecture discussions.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and use CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Travis.

Mobile Engineering:

• Develop mobile apps for Android and/or iOS using native SDKs or frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• Integrate mobile apps with cloud-based APIs and backend services.
• Use platform tools such as Xcode and Android Studio.

Across All Tech Stacks:

• Contribute directly to products and systems that impact customers.
• Ship features end-to-end and learn production best practices.
• Receive mentorship, constructive feedback, and career coaching.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical ideas clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and programming principles.
• Practical experience via coursework, internships, personal projects, or prior roles with one or more languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with at least one modern framework is a plus.
• Familiarity with backend concepts (APIs, databases) for candidates focused on server-side work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively on a team.
• Awareness of AI concepts, including generative AI capabilities, is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new tools and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
