Role overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Software Engineer 1 with hands-on experience in Python and Generative AI to help design, build, test, and deploy LLM-powered solutions and cloud-native services. You will work on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows, prompt engineering, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines across Azure and AWS environments as part of an Agile product team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and RAG architectures
• Build AI orchestration and workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or comparable tooling
• Design, implement, test, and deploy scalable Python-based APIs and microservices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Support deployments and operations on Azure and/or AWS while following security and compliance standards
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance in production
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and technical documentation
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business partners to deliver AI-enabled features

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python development and REST API design
• Knowledge of Generative AI concepts: LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling
• Exposure to Azure and/or AWS cloud-native development

• Java / Spring Boot experience
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Prior experience working in Agile/DevOps teams

Location & work model

• This role is based in Irving, TX and requires working from a Confidential Client location three (3) or more days per week.

Compensation & benefits

• Pay Range (based on primary location): $92,820.00 - $109,200.00 per year. Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other lawful factors.
