What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Engineer to help build ground and flight software for lunar and deep-space missions. This is a hands-on role where you'll write, test, and maintain C++ and Python code that supports real missions.

  • Write and debug C++ and Python code for ground and flight software applications.
  • Build modular, maintainable, and testable software using engineering best practices.
  • Run unit and regression tests; identify, debug, and resolve issues.
  • Break down moderately complex problems and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers across software, mission design, navigation, and operations.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks from specification through delivery and validation.

Who Thrives Here (Qualifications)

  • B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to write and debug code in C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with unit and regression testing practices and a focus on writing reliable, testable code.
  • Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn aerospace-specific tools and practices.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable — follows assignments through to completion.
  • Clear communicator who can tailor explanations to different audiences.
  • Passion for space exploration and working on mission-critical systems.

  • Prior aerospace or space industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$105,000 (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
