Responsibilities

The Junior Software Developer will contribute as a member of an Agile development team. You will work on both client-side and server-side features and collaborate closely with teammates and other groups as needed.

• Contribute to feature development across client- and server-side components.
• Follow Agile practices and use industry-standard project tools (Atlassian suite).
• Work under close supervision and pair with senior developers to learn patterns and standards.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support CI/CD and cloud-native development practices where applicable.

Qualifications

Required

• Intermediate programming proficiency (familiarity with Java or C++ is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Linux.

Desired

• JavaEE and/or Spring framework.
• Angular or modern frontend framework experience.
• RESTful service development.
• SQL (Postgres, Oracle).
• Git and standard IDEs (NetBeans or similar).
• Familiarity with Cloud Foundry, GeoServer a plus.

Compensation & Employment Details

• Employment type: Full-time
• Minimum clearance required: None
• Travel: Up to 10% (continental US)
• Pay range (national average for this position): $63,300 - $129,700 per year. Final salary depends on experience, location, contract rates (if applicable), and other factors.
