What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Software Developer to join a hybrid team in Houston, TX. In this role you'll work with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deliver software solutions that meet client needs while gaining hands-on experience with modern development and AI-enabled tools.

• Develop and maintain software features across the full stack using appropriate languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, code, test, debug, review, and deploy.
• Support integrations, data connections, and database work (including SQL).
• Troubleshoot defects, perform testing, and contribute to continuous improvement and code reviews.
• Use modern and AI-enabled development tools responsibly; validate outputs and apply human oversight.
• Document code, designs, and processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future employer sponsorship. Certain assignments may require U.S. Citizenship or the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
• Foundational full‑stack development proficiency in at least two programming languages (one frontend and one backend).
• Familiarity with development fundamentals: object-oriented programming, APIs, version control, testing, and SDLC.
• Experience from coursework, internships, research, or projects showing hands‑on software development.
• Basic knowledge of databases/SQL and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, effective written/verbal communication, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation & Work Model

• Estimated salary range (provided by our client): $58,000 - $95,700 per year.
• Work model: Hybrid, based in Houston, TX.
