What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Software Developer for a hybrid role based in Austin, TX. This is an early-career full‑time role focused on building strong foundations in software development while contributing to real client work and AI‑enabled development workflows.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to design, build, test, and enhance software features and applications.
- Translate business requirements into practical, maintainable code and technical designs.
- Participate across the software development lifecycle: design, code, unit test, debug, and support delivery.
- Support integrations, data connections, databases and APIs required by project solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform testing, and participate in code reviews to improve quality and security.
- Use modern and AI‑enabled development tools responsibly — review and validate AI outputs with appropriate human oversight.
- Document code, designs, processes, and collaborate with teammates to support ongoing improvements.
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Authorization to work in the United States permanently without employer sponsorship. Some positions may require U.S. Citizenship or the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance depending on client requirements.
- Strong curiosity, professionalism and eagerness for continuous learning.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and comfort working with ambiguous or complex information.
- Foundational proficiency in full‑stack development across at least two programming languages (frontend + backend).
- Familiarity with databases/SQL, APIs, version control, testing practices and the software development lifecycle.
- Basic understanding of data/AI engineering and ML concepts, business intelligence, and cloud technologies.
- Exposure to ERP and CRM systems is a plus.
- Hands‑on development experience through coursework, internships, research or personal projects.
- Interest in learning AI‑enabled tooling and modern development frameworks.
- Experience or exposure to public sector (state/local/higher education) or energy sector is preferred but not required.

- Salary range (good‑faith estimate provided by the hiring organization): $58,000 - $95,700 per year. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, and other lawful factors.
