Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an energetic, entry-level Social Media & Video Content Coordinator to join the marketing team near Belmont, MI. This role focuses on creating short-form video and photographic content, managing social channels, and helping tell the story of campus life and programs. The position is full-time and requires some availability for nights and weekends to cover events.

• Location: Belmont, MI
• Schedule: Full-time; must be able to work nights/weekends for events
• Salary: $48,000–$52,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Support social media strategy and execution across Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Film, edit, and publish short-form and longer-form video content for social channels and the website.
• Capture and edit photos for social, web, and design use focusing on student life and events.
• Provide real-time social updates and event recaps at campus events.
• Engage with followers and respond to messages to maintain a positive online community.
• Collaborate with campus departments to highlight programs, athletics, student organizations, and more.
• Manage and catalog digital video assets for easy access across teams.
• Prepare and present rough cuts and drafts to internal stakeholders for feedback and approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience producing content and managing social platforms for a brand, organization, or personal portfolio.
• Practical experience in photography and videography; comfortable working in both areas.
• Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong communication skills and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable presenting work to internal teams and incorporating feedback.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with faculty and staff.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Troubleshoot common audio and image quality issues with other creatives.
• Produce a variety of short-form video types (GIFs, social clips, animations).
• Take direction, accept feedback, and iterate to meet project briefs and university expectations.
• Self-motivated, organized, and a strong collaborator.
