Confidential Client is seeking a Permanency Social Caseworker (Social Caseworker B) to join the child welfare team in a hybrid work model based in Centennial, CO. This full-time role supports families through case closure by assessing safety and service needs, implementing family service plans, coordinating with community partners, and working toward permanency and well-being for children and families.
- Location: Centennial, CO (Hybrid — requires approximately 3 days in the office; office locations may include nearby sites)

- Anticipated hiring range: $61,232.08 - $74,555.52

Key responsibilities
- Provide professional case management: assess safety, identify root causes of referrals, monitor progress, and reduce barriers to permanency.
- Develop, recommend, and implement family service plans and interventions that increase parental protective capacities.
- Maintain monthly face-to-face contacts with children and families; document interactions and decisions in required systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary partners (law enforcement, medical professionals, CASA/GAL, treatment providers, schools, etc.) and participate in crossover or transfer meetings.
- Prepare and consolidate background information, court documentation, and progress reports; attend court and testify as needed.
- Participate in supervision, team/unit/division meetings, RED team, Family Team Meetings, and required continuing education.
- Complete timely TRAILS entries, placement paperwork, service referrals, visitation assessments, and other regulated documentation.
Required qualifications
Education & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human behavioral science field (including at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in human behavior science) AND one year professional casework, case management, or human services experience; OR
- Completion of a child welfare internship with direct service to children and families; OR
- One year of volunteer service in a human services agency at 20 hours/week.
- A master’s degree in social work or related field meets requirements without experience. Alternate degree/experience combinations are described in the full job requirements.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage stressful/complex situations calmly.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills; confident decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports and present information to courts and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, take initiative, and manage multiple cases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn agency/state systems.

Pre-employment & post-employment requirements
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks (background, acceptable motor vehicle record).
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within two weeks, a valid Colorado Class "R" driver’s license.
- Fingerprinting and Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check.
- Must have completed Colorado Pre-Service Training Academy or complete State-required training after hire to maintain Child Welfare Certification (including 40+ hours of annual training).
- Position is essential; staff must be available for emergency response and may rotate on-call.

Work environment & physical demands
- Hybrid role with significant time (20–40%) spent away from the office for home visits, collateral contacts, and transportation of children/clients.
- May involve physical exertion when transporting children and occasional exposure to hostile or threatening situations.
- Typical physical demands:
- ~50% sitting and ~50% standing/walking.
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 lbs; sometimes use equipment for heavier loads.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, crouching.
- Constant use of visual and manual coordination for computer and other tools; regular verbal/auditory communication.
