Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Sleep Technician Trainee in Bronx, NY. This is an entry-level, paid-training opportunity with a clear pathway to a full Sleep Technician role. Hourly pay during training: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. Paid training, benefits, and opportunities for promotion are provided.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with setup and breakdown of sleep study equipment for in-lab and home sleep testing.
- Prepare patients for studies, including sensor placement and patient education.
- Monitor patients during studies and ensure data quality and safety.
- Learn to score and analyze sleep data (training provided).
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain clinical equipment according to protocols.
- Communicate clearly with patients about procedures and expectations.
- Support CPAP setup and patient follow-up when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Interest in healthcare, respiratory therapy, or sleep medicine.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts when applicable.
- Basic computer skills (EMR/data entry).
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Background in healthcare (CNA, MA, Respiratory Therapy, etc.).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with patient care or medical equipment.
