Role Overview

This entry-level Site Digital IT Manager role is an early-career, full-time position based in Kansas City, KS. You will help run and improve IT and OT systems that support manufacturing and distribution operations. The role combines hands-on technical work (infrastructure, applications, OT/ICS) with project leadership, site-facing collaboration, and a strong focus on cybersecurity and operational resilience.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day IT and OT operations for the Kansas City plant to keep production, packing, and shipping running reliably.
  • Ensure critical applications and infrastructure are resilient, secure, and compliant with site policies and industry standards.
  • Integrate digital technologies into the site digital master plan and drive value-based investments.
  • Manage project delivery for site technology initiatives using ITIL and standard project-management practices.
  • Support incident management and problem resolution across IT and OT environments.
  • Implement and operationalize cybersecurity controls — including network, endpoint, application, and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protections.
  • Oversee local incident response, conduct self-assessments, and deliver risk mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to enable continuous improvement and technology adoption.

Responsibilities — Focus Areas

Site Digital Technology Leader

  • Integrate scalable digital solutions aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead deployments and change efforts that improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability.
  • Align stakeholders and measure outcomes for technology investments.

Site Cyber Security Leader

  • Execute the site security strategy and maintain a defense-in-depth posture.
  • Lead threat identification, local security controls, and compliance activities.
  • Train and advise site teams to build a culture of security awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduating Spring or Summer 2027 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing technology, OT/ICS concepts, or industrial automation environments.
  • Knowledge of IT operations: incident management, problem management, and organizational change.
  • Exposure to IT infrastructure topics such as network operations or application management.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals and the ability to support site-level security programs.
  • Strong leadership potential, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an aptitude for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, start-up–style project environments within a manufacturing setting.

  • Salary range (posted): $85,000 — $115,000 per year. Estimated midpoint shown on source posting: $103,536/year.
