Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Site Data Activation Leader to own and operate the OT/ICA data pipeline at a Greensboro, NC manufacturing site. This hands-on role connects PLCs, HMIs and other OT systems to site and corporate data platforms (MDF, Edge-to-Cloud, AI Factory, Corporate Data Lake), ensures data quality and availability for analytics and process teams, and leads technical standards and collaboration across OT, IT and digital teams.
Work location: Onsite 5 days/week — Greensboro, NC.
What You’ll Do
- Own standards, architecture and operational support for site OT data pipelines and the site data presentation strategy.
- Serve as the site technology owner for data production infrastructure (Smartbox, historians, data servers, remote access managers in the iDMZ, site data bus).
- Receive, scope and execute OT data requests end-to-end — identify tags, align with control owners, configure collection, and publish site-owned data to higher-level systems.
- Maintain, audit and troubleshoot data pipelines; ensure data integrity and recovery processes are in place.
- Implement and enforce data, cybersecurity (PS) and OT networking (OneNet OT 4.0) best practices.
- Document site data architecture, data models and implementation standards.
- Build OT-side capability for data modeling and educate data consumers on OT data characteristics and limitations.
- Collaborate across Site Data Asset Management, Digital Platforms, ICA/departmental ICA resources, OneNet and other stakeholders to drive plant digital adoption and delivery.
Estimated Time Allocation
- 20% — Ownership of OT data pipeline & data presentation strategy

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ICA/OT and automation ecosystems (Rockwell, Siemens where applicable; FactoryTalk and/or Aveva; engineering systems such as Studio, System Platform).
- Ability to describe OT data and required controls/programming to capture it (tags, routines, interfaces).
- Basic networking knowledge including OT 4.0 concepts, servers/virtualization, applicable databases and process historians.
- Practical exposure to Smartbox or similar edge-control computing (Grafana, InfluxDB or equivalent).
- Foundational knowledge of data architecture, data engineering and data modeling.
- Comfortable operating within manufacturing change control, validation (CQV) and IWS tools/methodologies (DDS, AM, PM).
- Strong prioritization, execution skills and ability to coach ICA/site digital resources.
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days per week in Greensboro, NC.

Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate-level skills across site ICA/OT toolset (Rockwell, Siemens, FactoryTalk/Aveva, Studio/System Platform).
- Stronger networking and historian/database experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Smartbox/edge-to-cloud implementations and site data models (MDF).
- Proven ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders.
Compensation & Schedule
- Employment type: Full-time
- Salary range (provided by the source): $85,000 - $122,200 per year. Actual pay will depend on non-discriminatory factors including experience, skills, and location.
- Onsite: 5 days per week in Greensboro, NC.
