What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a full-time Simulation Technician to support its Clinical Simulation program. This role is focused on day-to-day operation, setup, and maintenance of simulation technology and audiovisual systems, plus hands-on facilitation of simulation activities for learners and staff.
- Assist with planning, programming, testing, and running simulation scenarios with faculty and educators
- Operate audiovisual systems and simulation manikins during scenarios
- Prepare simulation environments, props, moulage, and participant materials
- Serve as standardized patient / role-player as needed to meet learning objectives
- Transport and set up equipment for on- and off-site training and simulation events
- Support preventive maintenance and cleaning procedures for simulation equipment
- Assist with installation, upgrades, and basic troubleshooting of simulation and AV hardware/software
- Provide basic instruction and orientation to staff, faculty, and visitors on equipment use and care
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate/technical degree, diploma, or equivalent in LPN, RN, EMT, Medical Assistant, biology, medical technology, or a related field
- Minimum two years’ experience in a medical or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with technology and basic audiovisual systems
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common computer software; comfortable learning new tools quickly
- Strong organization, attention to detail, reliability, and customer service orientation
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under direction
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field
- Four years’ experience in healthcare simulation or related simulation technology support
- Certification such as Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (or clinical certification: EMT, EMT-P, LPN/RN)
- Prior experience maintaining AV recording systems and editing/archiving simulated sessions
Key Competencies & Skills
- Hands-on technical aptitude for simulation manikins and AV hardware
- Basic troubleshooting and repair capability for simulation/AV equipment
- Good communication and instructional skills for training staff and learners
- Ability to create realistic simulation settings using props and moulage
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary educational team
Essential Duties & Time Allocation
- (60%) Facilitation — assist with running simulation scenarios, procedural learning sessions, and AV/manikin operation
- (30%) Equipment operations — perform routine and preventive maintenance, cleaning, installation, and system support
- (5%) Instruction — orient and instruct staff, faculty and participants on equipment and simulation best practices
- (5%) Other — participate in projects, demonstrations, and professional organizations to support program growth

- Follow and promote safe work practices and organizational policies
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with corporate integrity and compliance training
- Complete mandatory organizational requirements (licensure/certification checks, Employee Health requirements, training)
- Maintain regular, timely attendance
