What You’ll Do
As a Simulation Analysis Engineer I (Entry Level) you will support the design, development, and use of high‑fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments. Typical responsibilities include:
- Contribute to trade studies and performance analysis of weapon systems across a range of threat and kill‑chain scenarios.
- Develop and validate analytic approaches and model‑based solutions that inform program decisions and real‑time decision aids.
- Write and maintain scripts and code (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++) to run simulations, process results, and produce reproducible analyses.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to refine models and interpret results for operational effectiveness, survivability, and system improvements.
- Participate in validation, verification, and testing of simulation models and associated software.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field completed by the start date.
- 0+ years of relevant experience (experience may be obtained through coursework, research, internships, projects, or prior work).
- Practical scripting or programming experience (MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical results to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Legal eligibility: U.S. citizenship is required for this role due to government security clearance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, co‑op, or work experience with the employer or defense/aerospace contractors.
- Degrees or coursework in Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related majors.
- Experience with simulation modeling or analysis of physical systems.
- Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle and software development practices (object‑oriented design, Unix/Linux environments).
- Exposure to AI/ML, surrogate modeling, or HPC environments (SLURM, grid/cluster computing).
- Prior experience handling classified material or domain knowledge of military tools, tactics, or doctrine.

Location & Clearance
- Onsite in Tucson, AZ — primary work location: 1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG 805A, Tucson, AZ.
- This role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. An active and transferable security clearance (Top Secret) or the ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start is required.
