What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks a Signal Integrity Systems Engineer to lead system-level signal integrity (SI) analysis and channel development for high-speed active cable solutions used by hyperscale customers. You will work cross-functionally with ASIC/PHY, hardware, PCB, connector, cable, firmware, and validation teams to deliver production-ready solutions and customer demonstrations.

  • Own system-level SI analysis for high-speed channels including AEC, ACC, DAC, connectors, and PCB interconnects
  • Develop and analyze end-to-end channels for 112G and 224G PAM4 applications
  • Build and validate S-parameter models; correlate simulations with VNA, TDR, and oscilloscope measurements
  • Perform IBIS-AMI and statistical/electrical simulations for high-speed PAM4 channels
  • Conduct system-level BER, eye, jitter, and SNR analysis to locate channel performance limits
  • Troubleshoot SI issues across PCB, connector, cable, package, and silicon interfaces
  • Support customer demonstrations, interoperability testing, plugfests, and technical reviews
  • Create technical reports and present SI results to customers and internal engineering teams
  • Lead root-cause investigations and recommend design and validation improvements

Who You Are (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in high-speed signal integrity, channel modeling, or system validation
  • Strong understanding of transmission-line theory, S-parameters, crosstalk, loss/dispersion, reflections, impedance discontinuities, jitter, BER, and equalization
  • Experience with HFSS, Keysight ADS/PLTS, Cadence Sigrity, or similar SI/EM tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Hands‑on experience with VNA, TDR/TDT, high‑speed oscilloscopes, and BERTs
  • Experience with S-parameter data, IBIS-AMI modeling, and correlating simulation models to physical measurements
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or similar scripting environments for SI data automation and analysis
  • Experience with 112G/224G PAM4 SerDes, AEC/ACC/DAC cables, high‑speed connectors, and pluggable interfaces (CMIS, QSFP, OSFP)
  • Familiarity with IEEE, OIF, or other relevant industry specifications
  • Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills; experience analyzing Tx/Rx equalization (CTLE, FFE, DFE) and retimer/re-driver behavior

Compensation & Benefits

  • Visible pay range: $80,000 - $150,000 per year (estimate). This role is eligible for variable pay (e.g., bonus). Final pay will consider experience, skills, and location.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other well-being resources; details vary by location and plan eligibility.
