Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Service Parts & Logistics Analyst to join their operations team in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on collecting and analyzing logistics data, building Excel models and dashboards, and delivering insights that improve cost efficiency, service quality, and network performance.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, clean, and validate logistics and transportation data (shipments, freight rates, carrier performance, inventory levels, lead times).
- Build and maintain Excel-based models and dashboards to support cost analysis, route/mode evaluation, and scenario planning.
- Provide data inputs and basic modeling to support network optimization (SLA management, consolidation, capacity planning).
- Conduct root-cause analyses of service issues and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Prepare concise slide decks, reports, and visualizations for managers and operations teams.
- Monitor KPIs such as freight spend, error rates, and cost per shipment; identify trends and anomalies.
- Develop forecast simulations to support planning and decision-making.
- Support ad-hoc analyses and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of logistics, supply chain, business analytics, or consulting experience (internships count).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, basic data modeling).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Awareness of logistics software (TMS, WMS) is beneficial.
- Comfortable preparing clear slide decks and visualizations for non-technical audiences.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with operations teams.
- Professional logistics certifications (CSCP, CLTD) or progress toward them are a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain/Logistics or related field preferred).
- 0–3 years relevant experience; internships or project work acceptable.
- Exposure to import/domestic shipping operations and project management tools is helpful.
Compensation & Benefits
- Recruiting range: $55,000 - $60,000 USD (annual).
