What You’ll Do

You will combine classical machine learning and applied AI to deliver high-impact solutions across the business. Working closely with product, finance, marketing, sales, and GTM teams, you will translate business problems into data-driven solutions and own projects end-to-end.

  • Develop, productionize, and maintain classical ML models (churn, forecasting, demand planning, finance).
  • Design, evaluate, and optimize generative-AI/agentic systems (LLM-based assistants, retrieval-augmented systems).
  • Partner with business stakeholders to scope problems, define success metrics, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Execute the full data‑science lifecycle: problem framing, feature engineering, model selection, training, rigorous evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Looker or code-based) to communicate model outputs and business impact.
  • Ensure model reliability and guardrails for AI agents: performance testing, bias/robustness checks, and degradation monitoring.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and help establish best practices for reproducible, maintainable ML in production.

Qualifications

Bold, practical experience that demonstrates your ability to lead data‑driven projects and ship production ML.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years related experience; OR Master’s degree plus 3+ years; OR PhD in a quantitative field plus 1+ year (academic research counts).
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and common ML algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying ML models to production.
  • Expert-level Python skills and familiarity with core libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow, XGBoost).
  • Strong SQL skills for complex data exploration and transformation.
  • Experience creating dashboards in Tableau, Looker, or similar.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize in ambiguous settings, and deliver business outcomes.

Preferred

  • Direct, hands-on experience with generative AI and LLM tooling (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face ecosystem).
  • Experience evaluating and optimizing AI/agentic systems for accuracy, latency, and reliability.
  • Advanced modeling skills in causal inference, time-series forecasting, or MMM/mix modeling.
