Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and APIs. This hands-on technical role will help shape architecture decisions, improve reliability and security, and mentor other engineers. The position emphasizes .NET backend services, Angular front-end development, SQL Server data access, and resilient integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications, services, and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain ASP.NET Core APIs that integrate with SQL Server, downstream services, and third-party systems.
• Develop Angular/TypeScript web applications using component-based patterns, routing, forms, and service-driven API integration.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to cross-layer architecture decisions.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code using established engineering standards and design patterns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects, integration issues, and production incidents.
• Implement resilient integration patterns (retries, timeouts, structured error handling).
• Maintain secure authentication and authorization flows (OAuth/OIDC, JWT claims, roles/permissions).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment readiness.
• Support production reliability with structured logging, correlation IDs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Review code, provide guidance, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
• Document API contracts, technical designs, and system architecture.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong full‑stack engineering background with practical experience building enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and building RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript for front-end development.
• Experience with SQL Server and designing efficient data access patterns.
• Familiarity with secure authentication/authorization flows (OAuth/OIDC, JWT).
• Experience contributing to CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and incident response skills.
• Clear communicator who can collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (per job posting).

• Prior work on distributed systems, service orchestration, or enterprise integrations.
• Experience with observability tooling (metrics, tracing, structured logging).
• Familiarity with retry strategies, graceful degradation, and resilient design patterns.
