What You’ll Do

This role supports operations and supply chain finance activities for a confidential client in the Accounting & Finance industry. You will provide financial reporting, analysis, and hands-on cost accounting support that helps drive operational decision-making.

• Support the monthly close for Operations cost centers: journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze standard cost, inventory, freight, and manufacturing variance reports to surface trends and cost drivers
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Operations spend
• Track and report capital expenditures (capex) and construction-in-progress (CIP) including monthly roll-forwards and asset placed-in-service reviews
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to measure KPIs and support cost-savings initiatives
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
• Support physical inventory and cycle counts, and reconcile inventory results
• Assist with internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requests related to inventory and cost accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field required
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or supply chain/operations finance; internships accepted
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modeling)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards preferred)
• Familiarity with business intelligence/reporting tools (Power BI, Hyperion) is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — able to present financial information to non-finance partners
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally

• Onsite at the Newark, DE office (expected onsite schedule: ~4x per week)
• This position supports U.S.-based operations

Compensation & Additional Details

• Annualized base salary range: $53,800 to $84,300 (bonus eligible). Final compensation depends on experience, skills, geography, and market factors.
• Employment types: Full-time (with contractor possibilities per the client)
