About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking a motivated, self-starting Senior Data Analyst to join the Finance team. This hands-on role focuses on production-grade SQL, dbt, financial data products, and analytics to deliver actionable business insights across Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Support. You will work with large, complex datasets (customer, product, transaction, billing, revenue) to build scalable analytical solutions and support business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop dbt and SQL pipelines that automate accounting workflows, track financial KPIs, and deliver scalable analytical data products.
- Own and maintain financial data products, including ARR, Bookings, and Revenue data cubes.
- Serve as a financial data subject matter expert for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Analyze ARR, billing, revenue, and related financial datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
- Create and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and ad hoc reports that communicate important business trends and insights.
- Write, test, execute, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries across multiple data sources.
- Work with large-scale customer, product, and transaction datasets to support business and financial analysis.
- Recommend improvements to data strategy, analytical processes, and data architecture.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure data products and analysis address broader business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience writing efficient, production-grade SQL for complex data pipelines, reporting, and analytics.
- Experience with dbt, or the ability to learn and adopt dbt quickly.
- 3–5 years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting Finance and Accounting teams through data analysis and reporting.
- Experience analyzing and managing large-scale customer, product, and transaction datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curious, investigative approach.
- Ability to critically evaluate and cross-check analyses against broader business context.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to explain complex datasets and SQL queries to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building agents or automated solutions for analytics workflows.
- Experience with Python and Databricks.
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Sage Intacct and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Experience in fintech or healthcare SaaS environments.
- Working knowledge of financial concepts and metrics, including ARR, bookings, billing, and revenue.

- Salary: $120,000–$140,000 USD
