What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring through Careertakes for an experienced analytics professional to work with large-scale banking datasets, deliver data-driven insights, and build production-ready analytics for business partners.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into data solutions
- Process and analyze large datasets using Python/PySpark (Databricks / Jupyter)
- Write efficient SQL for extraction, transformation, and validation of complex data
- Consume and manage data stored in AWS S3 and integrate with downstream systems
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or QuickSight
- Conduct data profiling, exploratory analysis, and document transformation logic and rules
- Work cross-functionally in a client-facing or consulting environment to deliver actionable insights
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (per client requirement)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, ideally within Tier‑1 financial institutions, top U.S. national banks, or global consumer banking
- Strong expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting; experience with PySpark is a plus
- Experience with Databricks or similar notebook environments (Jupyter)
- Hands-on experience with AWS data stores (S3) and cloud-based data workflows
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QuickSight)
- Deep understanding of banking / financial services data (consumer banking, credit risk, payments)
- Strong experience in data profiling, exploratory analysis, and documenting transformation logic
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills; proven client-facing or consulting experience
Nice-to-Have
- Direct experience analyzing credit risk, payments processing, or other consumer banking datasets
- Prior consulting experience delivering analytics solutions to enterprise banking clients
- Experience operationalizing models/analytics into downstream systems
