Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Senior Associate Product Manager focused on fraud decisioning for Small Business Banking. This role blends product management fundamentals with fraud risk, data/ML-informed decisioning, and customer-centered digital banking experiences. The position is based in Richmond, VA (onsite or hybrid as the client requires).
What You’ll Do
- Lead product and feature work to detect and stop fraud while minimizing friction for legitimate small business customers
- Define requirements, acceptance criteria, and MVPS; break business epics into prioritized features and user stories
- Partner with engineers, data scientists, designers, and risk teams to build, test, and iterate fraud decisioning capabilities (including AI/ML-driven signals)
- Use hypothesis-driven analysis and metrics to validate product experiments and measure impact on customer experience and fraud outcomes
- Own the product roadmap for assigned features and ensure compliance with risk management and operational requirements
- Participate in cross-functional forums to align stakeholders and drive product delivery across core digital banking platforms
- Communicate product strategy and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or military experience)
- Minimum 2 years of product management experience
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver digital consumer experiences
- Comfortable working in agile teams and communicating with engineering and data partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience building or managing fraud detection / decisioning products, especially in banking or payments
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven risk signals and experimentation (A/B testing, metrics)
- Experience with consumer-facing digital product platforms (web & mobile) and platform-level product thinking
- 2+ years working on core product platforms that power digital experiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence across teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Richmond, VA salary range for this role: $101,100 - $115,400 (annual)
- Role is eligible for performance-based incentives (cash bonus and/or long-term incentives) per plan rules
