Overview
Confidential Client is seeking candidates for a Security & Law Enforcement role (Master-at-Arms) based in Kaneohe, HI. This military security position provides core force protection, law enforcement, and antiterrorism capabilities across installations, ships, and expeditionary settings. Candidates may qualify for direct-entry at advanced paygrades depending on prior law enforcement, corrections, or security experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct antiterrorism and force-protection patrols on installations, piers, and shipboard locations
- Staff sentry and access-control posts; manage entry to secure areas
- Perform vehicle, personnel, and baggage inspections to detect weapons, contraband, or unauthorized items
- Enforce traffic and parking regulations; respond to calls for service and investigate incidents and traffic accidents
- Collect, preserve, and document evidence; prepare reports and case files
- Provide crowd control and a visible law enforcement presence during events and emergencies
- Operate and maintain small arms, crew-served weapons, approved non-lethal options, and security vehicles/boats
- Support harbor and waterside security, high-value unit escorts, and expeditionary security missions
- Supervise and train junior security personnel in watchstanding, weapons handling, and security procedures
What to Expect
- Fast-paced, armed, and safety-critical work that demands attention to detail, sound judgment, and professionalism
- Rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) to provide 24/7 coverage
- Regular weapons and tactical requalification; ongoing physical fitness and use-of-force training
- Assignment opportunities across shore installations, ships, and expeditionary units — including overseas and sea-duty tours
- Progression into specialized billets (e.g., patrol supervisor, watch commander, kennel master, investigator) with experience and qualifications
Work Environment
- Primarily base and shipboard environments: piers, flight lines, patrol vehicles, kennels, armories, and security operations centers
- May include exposure to stressful or hazardous incidents requiring calm, decisive action
- Frequent collaboration with other security forces, joint units, and investigative partners
- Possible deployments, forward assignments, and dependent-restricted tours
Pathways, Training & Advancement
- Recruit training followed by Master-at-Arms “A” School for core law-enforcement and security training
- On-the-job qualification through standardized watchstations and Personnel Qualification Standards
- Advanced training opportunities and Navy Enlisted Classifications (examples): Military Working Dog Handler, Kennel Master, Harbor Security Coxswain, Corrections Specialist, Small Arms Instructor, Protective Service Specialist, Criminal Investigator

Qualifications
Applicants must meet general enlistment standards and role-specific criteria, including (but not limited to):
- Eligibility to serve based on applicable law and policy (citizenship or lawful residency requirements as required for the program)
- High school diploma or equivalent for enlisted positions (officer pathways require a bachelor’s or qualifying degree)
- Meet age, medical, vision, dental, body composition, and physical fitness standards applicable to the program
- Meet character and conduct standards, including background screening and any required clearances
- Achieve required aptitude/test scores (e.g., ASVAB or officer qualification tests) where applicable
- Ability and willingness to qualify with issued weapons and equipment, work in uniformed law enforcement roles, and accept rotating/sea/deployable assignments
