Overview

Confidential Client is recruiting for a Master-at-Arms (Security & Law Enforcement) role based in Germantown, TN. This safety-critical position provides armed security, antiterrorism, and law enforcement capabilities to protect personnel, installations, vessels, and strategic assets. The role is suitable for both entry-level candidates and experienced law enforcement or security professionals; qualified applicants with prior experience may be eligible for advanced entry pay grades.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct antiterrorism and force-protection patrols on installations, piers, and high-value sites
• Staff sentry and access-control posts; enforce entry procedures for secured areas
• Perform vehicle, personnel, and baggage inspections to detect weapons, contraband, or unauthorized items
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations; respond to calls for service and traffic accidents
• Investigate incidents, collect and preserve evidence, and prepare reports and case files
• Provide law enforcement presence, crowd control, and incident response at events and emergencies
• Operate and maintain small arms, crew-served weapons, non-lethal weapons, and security vehicles or boats
• Support harbor and waterside security, high-value escorts, and expeditionary security missions
• Supervise and train junior security personnel in watchstanding, weapons qualification, and security procedures

• Rotating shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide 24/7 coverage
• Regular qualifications and requalification in weapons handling, use-of-force procedures, tactical skills, and fitness standards
• Exposure to stressful and emergency situations requiring calm decision-making and strong communications skills
• Opportunities for increasing responsibility (e.g., patrol supervisor, watch commander, kennel master, investigator)

Work Environment

• Assignments at installations in the U.S. and overseas, aboard ships, and with expeditionary security units
• Primary duty locations include bases, piers, flight lines, harbor security boats, patrol vehicles, kennels, armories, and security operations centers
• Possible overseas or dependent-restricted tours; integration with other security forces, investigative units, and joint or host-nation partners depending on assignment

Pathways, Training & Advancement

• Initial recruit training followed by specialized Master-at-Arms “A” School and job-specific qualification syllabi
• On-the-job progression via Personnel Qualification Standards and watchstation certifications
• Advanced schools and Navy Enlisted Classifications (e.g., Military Working Dog Handler, Harbor Security Coxswain, Corrections Specialist, Small Arms Instructor, Criminal Investigator) may be available for qualified candidates
• Ongoing leadership, warfare qualification, and senior-enlisted development opportunities

Qualifications

All applicants must meet general enlistment or service eligibility standards. Typical requirements include:

• Eligibility to serve as defined by current policy (citizenship or other lawful residency/work status may apply)
• High school diploma or equivalent for enlisted roles (officer roles require higher education)
• Age, medical, vision, dental, body composition, and physical fitness standards per program requirements
• Satisfactory character and conduct history, including background checks and screenings
