Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Security and Derivatives Intermediate Associate Analyst to support settlements, clearance and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. This entry-level Operations role works closely with Transaction Services, Front and Middle Office, and internal teams to ensure accurate processing across equity, swap and fixed income products.

What you’ll do

• Serve as the primary contact for custody clients and provide support across securities and cash settlements.
• Guide clients on life‑cycle events for multiple product types, including equity (cash and swap) and fixed income.
• Investigate and resolve exceptions or breaks; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Partner with internal teams (Settlements, Corporate Actions, Tax, Technology, Front/Middle Office) to deliver client service.
• Act as an analytical/procedural SME for securities processing deliverables and initiatives.
• Contribute to customized reporting and present findings to management.
• Support implementation of process improvements and controls.
• Provide informal coaching or on‑the‑job training to junior team members.
• Identify, assess and manage operational risk; escalate control issues with transparency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in securities processing, settlements, custody operations, or related transaction services.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with equity and fixed income lifecycle events, and basic derivatives processing is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation & benefits

• Primary location full‑time salary range: $62,620 — $87,380 (annual).
• In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary or formulaic incentive/retention awards.
