Security Analyst-Entry Level
The Security Analyst - Entry Level role at Confidential Client involves supporting security operations through monitoring, threat intelligence analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management. What You’ll Do
Build foundational cybersecurity experience while supporting security operations across threat intelligence, incident response, detection tuning, endpoint and network security, and basic security automation. As an entry-level Security Analyst you will:
- Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds and OSINT to identify emerging threats.
- Conduct proactive hunts and searches for suspicious network and endpoint behavior.
- Review firewall, server, and endpoint logs to identify indicators of compromise and escalate as needed.
- Assist with initial triage and containment of security incidents using frameworks such as NIST and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to refine SIEM queries, detection rules, and Defender for Endpoint configurations.
- Gather and analyze logs/alert data to determine incident scope and severity; document findings.
- Support vulnerability management tasks: review reports, prioritize remediation, and assist with patching workflows.
- Use tools such as SCCM, Group Policy, and PowerShell to support endpoint configuration and automation.
- Help create incident reports, after-action reviews, process documentation, and security awareness content.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of core security concepts and basic computer & network fundamentals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a mid-sized team.
- Availability for Saturday and Sunday evening shifts after training is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in server or network administration or an IT security-focused role.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and endpoint security platforms.
- Experience with PowerShell, Group Policy, SCCM, or other endpoint management tools.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and cloud security fundamentals.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
- Certifications (not required but prioritized): GSEC, GCIH, Security+, Network+.

- Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.
- Evening weekend coverage (Saturday & Sunday evenings) required after training.
