What You’ll Do

This role supports facility entry/visitor control and program security administration for a cleared government contract. Responsibilities include:

  • Check identification for all visitors; verify sponsorship and clearance using JPAS or an approved local database.
  • Determine visitor purpose, log visitors, issue visitor badges, and notify hosts of arrivals.
  • Enforce prohibited-item policies (e.g., personal electronics, removable media) and perform bag/hand-carried-item inspections or assist government staff with inspections.
  • Receive and distribute incoming packages (UPS, FedEx, etc.) per facility SOPs.
  • Verify assigned personnel display authorized access badges.
  • Perform entry and circulation control duties and maintain accurate logs, equipment, and badge accountability at shift start/end.
  • Execute emergency procedures (bomb threat, active shooter, force protection, anti-terrorism, fire evacuation) according to checklists.
  • Assist with personnel, information, and program security tasks as assigned by the Chief of Security.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of related security, visitor control, or access-control experience. Prior special program security experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years) is preferred but not required.
  • Must hold at least a Top-Secret clearance at hire and be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI/SAP eligibility.
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism at checkpoints, and the ability to follow written SOPs and emergency checklists.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience working on government or federal contracts.
  • Familiarity with JPAS or comparable personnel security databases.
  • Prior visitor-control, access-control, or security administration in a special program environment.

Compensation & Work Type

  • Estimated salary: $48,158 per year (estimated).
  • Employment type: Full-time, on-site (not remote).
