Role Summary

Confidential Client is seeking a Security Administration / Visitor Control professional to manage visitor processing, entry/circulation control, and program security administration at a secure facility in Camp Springs, MD. Full-time. Estimated salary: $100,081 per year (estimated).


What You’ll Do

  • Greet and screen all visitors; verify IDs and confirm sponsorship/clearance via JPAS or local databases
  • Log visitors, issue visitor badges, and notify hosts of arrivals
  • Enforce prohibited-item policies and assist with inspecting bags and hand-carried items
  • Receive and process deliveries (UPS, FedEx, etc.) per facility SOPs
  • Monitor assigned personnel for proper display of authorized access badges
  • Execute emergency procedures (bomb threat, active shooter, fire evacuation, force protection, Anti-Terrorism) per checklists
  • Maintain and account for logs, badges, equipment, and instructions at shift start/end
  • Support personnel, information, and program security and other entry-control functions as directed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of related experience (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR four (4) years of equivalent work experience
  • Prior special program security experience strongly preferred; entry-level candidates may be considered if otherwise qualified

Security & Clearance

  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs (SAP) required
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph

Skills & Requirements

  • Familiarity with security policies/manuals and relevant DCIDs / JAFANs and related guidance
  • Experience using JPAS or equivalent personnel/clearance systems for visitor validation
  • Strong customer-service skills for phone and face-to-face interactions with DoD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to operate with initiative and minimal supervision in a dynamic environment
  • Must be willing to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR); travel may be extensive and include air and ground transportation

Physical & Communication Requirements

  • Able and willing to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat as job duties require
  • Excellent written and oral command of English
