What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Scrum Master to enable agile delivery of secure, mission-critical systems in a DoD-focused IT environment. You will support engineering teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and helping align team practices with acquisition, security, and program management requirements.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to maintain a steady agile cadence.
- Support team-of-teams activities (Program Increment Planning / PI Planning) — assist with preparation, logistics, and facilitation.
- Identify, track, and help remove impediments; escalate issues when necessary and coordinate resolution with leadership.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Team Leads to groom and prioritize multiple product backlogs, ensuring stories are ready for development.
- Support light automation of team metrics and dashboards (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Excel) and report trends that inform team health.
- Provide introductory coaching on Agile principles and foster continuous improvement and cross-team communication.
- Ensure agile practices align with RMF (Risk Management Framework), Earned Value Management (EVM), program security requirements, and DoD acquisition guidance.
- Help maintain a secure, collaborative development environment and perform related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Basic qualifications (minimum):
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Entry-level Agile/PM experience with hands-on use of backlog tools such as JIRA.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- US Citizenship (required for this role).
Preferred qualifications:
- 2+ years serving as a Scrum Master for engineering teams practicing Scrum.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist certification preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining metrics and dashboards (Excel, Confluence, JIRA reporting).
- Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Location & Clearance
- On-site in Oklahoma City, OK — remote or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- US Citizenship required; Active DoD security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain/transfer a clearance upon hire.
