Position Overview
confidential client is seeking an entry-level Scientist to join the Stability and Batch Release team in the Prathersville / Columbia, MO area. This role performs laboratory analyses under CGMP/GLP-aligned processes to support stability studies and batch release activities. The position is full-time (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) with occasional weekend overtime as needed. Candidates should live within commutable distance to Columbia/Prathersville, MO.
What You’ll Do
- Support stability studies and batch release testing under written protocols, SOPs, and CGMP/GLP guidelines.
- Perform analytical testing using HPLC, GC and other standard laboratory instrumentation.
- Complete study documentation, data entry, and report preparation with attention to accuracy and traceability.
- Use LIMS (or similar) for sample tracking and data management (experience desirable).
- Assist with method setup, calibration, routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of instruments.
- Follow safe laboratory practices and maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Work with supervision initially and increase independence on assignments over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a closely related field (or equivalent coursework).
- Familiarity with laboratory environments; prior hands-on experience is desirable.
- Experience or exposure to GLP and/or GMP environments strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or GC is desirable.
- Experience with LIMS is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and clear written/verbal communication.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
Compensation & Schedule
- Estimated annual pay: $48,109 (estimate shown on original posting).
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; some weekend overtime as required.
Location
Prathersville / Columbia, Missouri (commutable distance to Columbia, MO preferred). On-site laboratory role — not remote.
