What You’ll Do
This role supports the Scientific Applications team by executing and analyzing flow cytometry experiments that help commercialize biosciences products. You'll work under the guidance of senior scientists and contribute to product evaluations, application development, and customer-facing technical materials.
- Perform and support flow cytometry experiments following established protocols and best practices.
- Prepare biological samples, cell cultures, reagents, controls, and instrument setups.
- Collect, organize, and analyze flow cytometry and related experimental data.
- Assist in optimizing staining panels, sample preparation methods, and assay workflows.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, study documentation, and experimental reports.
- Contribute to scientific presentations, application notes, posters, and other customer-facing materials.
- Conduct literature searches and summarize findings relevant to projects.
- Collaborate across R&D, Marketing, Product Management, and Scientific Applications to support product development and commercialization.
- Support internal and external studies that demonstrate product performance and application utility.
- Follow company policies and laboratory safety procedures; actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related life science.
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience (academic research, internships, or industry experience acceptable).
- Hands-on lab experience; exposure to flow cytometry, immunology, cell culture, molecular biology, or related techniques preferred.
- Basic understanding of immunology and experimental design.
- Familiarity with data analysis software such as FlowJo or similar is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with BD flow cytometers preferred but not required.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience with panel design and staining optimization for flow cytometry.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize results into clear technical summaries or slide decks.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in a product-development environment.
