Position Overview

Confidential client is hiring a School Nurse to provide in-person nursing care at a nonpublic special education school serving students ages 5–21. This role focuses on promoting student health, administering medications and basic treatments, and maintaining accurate health records within a collaborative, multidisciplinary educational environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location type: In person (Norbeck, MD)

What You’ll Do

You will deliver direct nursing care and health support to students with a range of special education needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including medication administration, wound care, and first aid
• Coordinate with caregivers and families to implement student-specific health plans and treatments
• Support school mental health staff (e.g., psychiatrist) with medication management processes
• Maintain accurate, cumulative, and confidential health records for each student
• Communicate health concerns and changes in student status to the care team in a timely manner
• Follow applicable state laws, school policies, and clinical protocols related to student healthcare

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $62,386.69 minimum to $99,600.18 maximum. Pay is determined by factors such as years and level of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this School Nurse role you must have:

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Current, valid license to practice nursing in the State of Maryland (Registered Nurse — RN)
• One year of experience in a school setting preferred
