Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Scheduler to support project controls for large-scale power generation and renewable energy construction projects. The Scheduler will build and maintain engineering and construction schedules, produce resource-loaded timelines, monitor critical path activities, and communicate schedule status and impacts to project teams and clients. This is a remote-friendly / telecommute role with regular travel to project sites across the United States; some assignments may be field-based.


District Overview

Confidential Client provides direct-hire construction services across the power market, delivering engineering, procurement, construction, and startup solutions for gas, coal, and renewable energy projects. You will join a team that executes major EPC power plant and solar projects nationwide using union craft forces where applicable.


Location & Work Model

This role is associated with Quivira, KS (project assignments are nationwide). Work is frequently performed remotely with required travel to job sites and periodic rotations between field and office. Job locations are project-based and typically finalized closer to the start date. Candidates must be willing to travel and relocate as business needs require.


What You’ll Do

You will:

  • Build, update and maintain engineering and construction schedules from conceptual planning through closeout.
  • Create resource-loaded schedules with clear activity lists, milestones, long-lead procurement items, and approvals to be tracked.
  • Develop schedule logic, realistic activity durations, and resource constraints to reflect available manpower and equipment.
  • Monitor critical path logic networks and evaluate the impact of design changes or delays.
  • Provide regular schedule health reports and present schedule updates at project meetings.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, construction managers and contractors to resolve project control issues.
  • Capture and apply historical data to improve forecasting and future planning.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn project controls tools such as inEight Suite and Primavera P6.
  • Able and willing to travel and relocate as project schedules require.
  • Comfortable accessing all points of a construction site in varying climates and conditions.
  • Highly motivated, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity and safety.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work both collaboratively and independently to meet deadlines and deliverables.

Working Conditions & Other Requirements

  • Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as project needs demand.
  • Follow oral and written instructions, site rules, safety policies and use required personal protective equipment.
  • May be assigned to various locations with variable working conditions.
