Role overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a Scheduler, Crude Oil to support midstream scheduling operations in Williams, OK. This is a full-time, entry-level to mid-level role responsible for nominations, confirmations, scheduling and month-end closing activities across pipelines, truck movements and facility systems. The hired level will be determined based on experience and demonstrated capabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Initiate, manage and adjust schedules for crude and related product movements via truck, pipeline and facility systems to ensure nominations are filled and volumes are ticketed per contracts and published tariffs.
- Handle nominations and confirmations, allocations, billing items, imbalance resolution, and daily flow activity with carriers, customers, terminal personnel and operations control.
- Monitor flow rates, capacity and measurement discrepancies; support power optimization and product quality initiatives.
- Prepare and analyze reports: allocations, nominations/confirmations, storage balances, connected carrier allocations and end-of-month closings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, commercial, measurement, accounting) to implement scheduling and operational improvements.
- Build and maintain customer and carrier relationships to support reliable service and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience. Engineering, accounting, finance or a related technical discipline is preferred but not required.
- Experience: Practical experience with pipeline/facility scheduling, nominations software, inventory management, and working with external carriers/customers is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to read and interpret contracts, tariffs, confirmations, invoices and regulatory materials.
- Basic math, algebra and statistics skills for allocations and reporting.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and scheduling or nominations systems (experience with industry software is a plus).
- Additional: Comfortable collaborating across departments and composing customer-facing reports.
Physical demands & environment
- Primarily sedentary work (sitting most of the time) with occasional walking or standing.
- Regular use of computer monitors and repetitive motion tasks.
- May require some travel; driving may be required for assigned tasks and could include use of a company vehicle.
Compensation & benefits
- Expected salary range: $67,000 - $101,000 per year.
- Benefits vary by client but commonly include medical, dental, retirement plan options, paid time off and training opportunities. Final compensation and benefits will be provided by the Confidential Client at offer.
