Role summary
Confidential client is seeking a Scheduler, Crude Oil to perform nominations, confirmations, scheduling, and month-end closing activities for crude oil pipelines, truck movements, and facilities. This is a full-time position based in Tulsa, OK. The position level will be set at hire based on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Initiate, manage, and adjust schedules for crude and related product movements via truck, pipeline, and facility systems to ensure nominations are filled and volumes are ticketed per contracts and published tariffs.
- Communicate with operations control center representatives, operators, carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow activity, and operational orders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on commercial, operational, and scheduling improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and terminal personnel to support service reliability and issue resolution.
- Calculate, prepare, review, and analyze reports such as allocations, nominations and confirmations, flow rates/capacity issues, measurement discrepancies, storage balances, inventory positions, tickets, and end-of-month closing.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience required. Engineering, accounting, finance, or similar technical discipline preferred but not required.
Experience
- Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with internal and external partners.
- Experience with scheduling crude oil pipelines and facilities, including product movements, inventory management, customer service, and nominations software.
- Experience analyzing and resolving scheduling issues.
- Experience reading and interpreting contracts, tariffs, invoices, confirmations, reports, and company policies.
- Experience composing reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply basic math, algebra, and statistics.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze operational and commercial data.
- Comfortable working with scheduling and nominations software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, lifting (up to 10 lbs), carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Work performed in well-lit, climate-controlled office environment with frequent computer/CRT use and repetitive motion.
- Some travel may be required. Driving and assignment of a company vehicle may be required depending on role responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $67,000 - $101,000 per year (listed range from our client).
- Benefits vary by client policy and may include medical, dental, retirement, and paid time off. Specific benefits will be provided by the hiring organization.
