The Opportunity

Confidential Client is seeking a Staff 2-level SAP Consultant to join a Consultant Development Program (CDP) focused on building technical competency, consulting fundamentals, and real-world project experience. This role supports technology-enabled business transformations across ERP, finance, supply chain, integration, and analytics domains. The position is titled for delivery-focused consulting work and includes significant client interaction and travel.


What You’ll Do

You will work on client engagements to help design, configure, test, and deploy SAP and related solutions. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to collect, validate, and document requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional or technical specifications.
  • Support configuration and integration activities across SAP and non‑SAP systems.
  • Assist with test planning, execution, defect resolution, and user acceptance testing.
  • Analyze data to inform recommendations and solution design.
  • Generate system reports, support user training, and drive adoption activities.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
  • Travel to client sites as needed (see travel expectations in Logistics).

Required Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant professional experience or internships supporting enterprise technology, ERP, business process transformation, or systems implementation.
  • Understanding of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC), requirements gathering, testing methodologies, and solution delivery processes.
  • Ability to define, analyze, and map business and technical requirements.
  • Functional/application design aptitude; familiarity with system integration concepts and business process design.
  • Technical aptitude or experience with one or more technologies such as Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python, C/C++, PHP, web development, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, ERP (SAP or Oracle), or integration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven relationship-building ability.
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites (travel estimated at up to 80%).
  • Access to reliable transportation; a driver’s license is strongly recommended where public transit or rideshare may be limited.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Foundational knowledge of SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP certification or active pursuit of SAP certification in a relevant area.
  • Experience with client engagement, project coordination, or project management.
  • Demonstrated consulting interest via relevant coursework, student organizations, or internships.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
  • Familiarity with modern technology trends and their application to business problems.

Logistics & Location

  • Location: Anywhere in the U.S.; role may be required on client sites frequently. Local/regional office presence may be expected as projects require.
  • Estimated travel: up to 80% (client-facing work).
  • Employment type: Full-time.

Compensation & Benefits (Pay Transparency)

To comply with pay-transparency requirements, the base salary ranges for this role in the U.S. are provided below. Actual compensation is determined by multiple factors including location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Base salary (all U.S. locations): USD 76,600 – USD 126,300 per year.
  • Base salary (New York City Metro Area, Washington State, California excluding Sacramento): USD 91,800 – USD 143,400 per year.

In addition to base pay, the total rewards package may include medical/dental coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
