Role Overview
Confidential Client (Engineering & Technology) is hiring an entry-level SAP ABAP & BTP Full Stack Developer to join an on-site team in Foster City, CA. This is a hands-on, early-career role (0–2 years experience, new grads welcome) focused on building practical skills with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SAP BTP, UI5/Fiori, and OData services — with mentorship, structured training, and certification support.
What You’ll Do
You will work under senior architects and developers to learn and contribute to SAP application development across the stack:
- Assist in building and testing OData services using the RAP framework.
- Contribute to UI5/Fiori application development in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), starting with Smart Controls and UI annotations.
- Shadow architecture and App Router (Managed/Standalone) discussions and progressively take on configuration tasks.
- Support XSUAA authentication setup and Cloud Connector connectivity tasks with supervision.
- Participate in functional walkthroughs across EAM, MM/EWM, PP, and QM to develop domain knowledge (work orders, inventory, production planning, quality processes).
- Assist with Fiori Elements extensions, basic controller logic, and CDS view development.
- Write Python scripts/utilities to support integration testing, data processing, and automation alongside the SAP stack.
- Complete structured SAP training and certification during onboarding (BTP, RAP, UI5 fundamentals).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline (recent graduates and interns with relevant project experience are encouraged to apply).
- Mandatory: Working proficiency in Python (scripting, core language features, basic OOP).
- Foundational knowledge or exposure to ABAP and OOP concepts via coursework, internships, or academic projects.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST/OData concepts); UI5/Fiori exposure is a plus.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a structured mentorship environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic exposure to SAP BTP, Fiori, or cloud application development during coursework or projects.
- SAP certifications completed during college or early career training.
- Familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, FastAPI/Flask, or PyTest.
- Exposure to AI agent frameworks or tooling (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen) is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year (listed per California pay-transparency requirements). Actual offer depends on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
- On-site role: 5 days per week in Foster City, CA.
