What You’ll Do
This accelerated Management & Sales Training Program prepares you for a Store Management role in approximately 18–24 months through hands-on store experience, outside sales, and leadership development. You will work alongside store leadership to manage operations for a high-volume store, build relationships with large commercial customers, and learn sales, merchandising, customer service, finance, and operations.
Key responsibilities
- Complete the training curriculum and meet program milestones
- Support business strategies to increase sales and improve profitability
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues
- Build and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
- Develop relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including large-volume commercial accounts
- Complete store administrative tasks and support visual merchandising standards
- Ensure compliance with safety, loss-prevention, and security policies
- Support employee training, performance management, and corrective actions
- Partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to grow market share
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree by the start of the development program
- Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve items from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year working in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory role (work, extracurricular, military, etc.)
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products (helpful but not required)
- Experience with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus
Schedule & Physical Requirements
- Typical schedule: 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends
- Physical demands: frequent lifting to 50 lbs, occasional lifting to 70 lbs; tasks include stocking, merchandising, and customer interactions
Compensation & Career Path
- Estimated pay: $87,414 per year (estimated)
