Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Sales & Distribution Trainee to begin in their distribution center near Woodbine, TN. This role provides hands-on training across warehouse operations, order processing, quoting, and customer service with a clear path into inside or counter sales. Estimated pay: $39,650 per year (estimated).

What you’ll do

• Gain operational knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings (PVF) and commercial plumbing products to support sales and distribution activities.
• Learn product flow, logistics, and material-handling procedures in a distribution center.
• Process incoming orders from eCommerce, phone, email, and in-person transactions.
• Generate accurate product quotations including specifications, lead times, pricing, tagging, packaging, inventory, and logistics.
• Provide timely, professional responses to customer calls and emails and prepare project quotations.
• Maintain and grow relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives to streamline ordering and fulfillment.
• Use and learn CRM and other software tools to track quotes, orders, and customer interactions.
• Handle expedited orders and special shipping/fulfillment requests to meet customer deadlines.
• Process returns paperwork and issue customer credits according to policy.
• Operate material-handling equipment (forklift, scissor lift, pallet jacks) to prepare shipments and participate in inventory counts.
• Stay informed about active marketing programs and product offerings to best advise customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (recent graduates — August and December 2026 — will be considered).
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/distribution environment and performing physical tasks.
• Experience or willingness to learn forklift/scissor-lift operation and safe material-handling practices.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and good time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
• Basic computer literacy; willingness to learn CRM and order management systems.
