Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Sales Trainee (Distribution & Sales Trainee) in Woodbine, TN. This entry-level role combines hands-on warehouse/distribution center experience with a pathway into sales (Inside Sales or Counter Sales). The position is ideal for a motivated, organized candidate who wants to learn product flow, logistics, customer service, and quoting while gaining exposure to sales and CRM systems.

What You’ll Do

• Learn operational processes for pipe, valves, fittings (PVF) and commercial plumbing products.
• Support customer and vendor relationships to drive repeat business.
• Create accurate product quotes (specifications, lead times, pricing, tagging, packaging, inventory, logistics).
• Process incoming orders via eCommerce, phone, email, and in-person.
• Respond promptly and accurately to customer calls and emails; prepare project quotations.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturer reps to streamline ordering.
• Use and learn the company CRM and other order-management tools; follow company procedures.
• Stay current on product lines and active marketing/promotional programs.

Distribution & Warehouse duties

• Monitor the order queue to track statuses and ensure accuracy.
• Expedite and prioritize orders to meet delivery dates.
• Process return paperwork and issue credits per company policy.
• Operate material-handling equipment (forklift, scissor lift, pallet jack) to prepare shipments.
• Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/distribution environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Good time-management and prioritization skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn CRM and quoting/order systems.
• Required: ability to perform physical tasks typical for distribution work and to operate assigned equipment following safety training.
