Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a hands-on Sales Support Representative to join their Waterworks distribution team in Kansas City, MO. This position provides direct support to sales associates, assists customers, coordinates deliveries, and trains across the sales counter, warehouse, and pipe yard. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

What You’ll Do

• Provide day-to-day support to the sales team: outline project tasks and timelines, assist with prospecting, and follow up on leads.
• Prepare and support sales proposals, contracts, and required documentation to help close deals.
• Coordinate sales projects and initiatives by tracking tasks and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers—answer sales calls, handle inquiries, and resolve basic concerns.
• Coordinate deliveries and work with operations to make sure orders fulfill customer needs.
• Capture and relay customer feedback to improve service and product offerings.
• Use CRM and phone systems effectively to log interactions, manage leads, and maintain customer records.
• Learn sales tools, products, and processes; take on training in warehouse, pipe yard, and at the sales counter as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1–3 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated interest in a sales-focused role and eagerness to learn product lines, sales tools, and distribution processes.
• Strong customer service orientation with a natural tendency to assist and resolve customer needs.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable training and working in warehouse and pipe yard environments in addition to the sales counter.
• Experience using a CRM is preferred; strong phone and written communication skills required.
• Previous sales or customer-facing internships/roles are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $18.71 – $29.92 per hour.
• This role is eligible for bonus or incentive plans.

• Starting wage may be higher in some locations subject to local or state wage requirements.
