What You’ll Do

This is an outside sales role focused on building and growing accounts in the Fort Dodge, Humboldt, and Eagle Grove, IA territory. You will promote foodservice products and services, develop new business, and support existing customers to achieve sales and profit goals.

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
  • Qualify prospects and pursue accounts according to territory stratification and target goals.
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that support their business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations; provide customers value-added insights.
  • Provide product information and in-person training to customer staff when needed.
  • Maintain reliable travel to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings; manage a personal vehicle for territory travel.
  • Coordinate with credit and transportation teams to resolve order, delivery, and accounts-receivable issues.
  • Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, reports and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer events and ongoing training programs.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new sales team members as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support customer success and territory performance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base: $55,561 per year (estimated from source).

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR
  • HSD/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a sales internship.

Preferred

  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales or chef experience preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Certificates / Licenses / Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets company insurability standards (example limits in source: BI $100,000/$300,000; PD $100,000).
  • Ability to pass employment testing and sign required protective covenants.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales ability and persuasion skills.
  • Customer-focus and ability to build trust and loyalty.
  • Follow-up and territory management discipline.
  • Adaptability and effective communication.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English (bilingual skills are a plus).

Schedule & Location

  • Outside sales role based in West Fort Dodge, IA (covers Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Eagle Grove areas).
  • Some non-traditional hours may be required (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
  • Position requires regular travel within the assigned territory using a personal vehicle.
