Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for the Wellston, MO territory. This outside sales role focuses on building and growing restaurant and foodservice relationships across Wellston and surrounding St. Louis-area neighborhoods. The role includes territory development, customer training and support, and executing sales plans to meet revenue and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and expand sales within assigned territory while minimizing lost business
- Identify, qualify, and pursue prospects according to account stratification goals
- Understand customer business needs and recommend product and service mixes to meet those needs
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, product innovations and pricing, and share insights with customers
- Provide product information and on-site product training to customer personnel
- Drive to customer accounts, attend industry conventions, and participate in company meetings and events
- Support order process troubleshooting (stock, special orders, inventory issues) and coordinate with operations teams
- Manage accounts receivable collections with support from credit teams as needed
- Prepare sales budgets, reports, quotes, menu suggestions and maintain accurate sales records
- Participate in sales, district meetings and ongoing training; assist in onboarding new hires as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales (or equivalent experience, including completion of a relevant sales internship)
- Valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance that meets company insurability standards and required liability limits (see Certifications & Licenses)
- Proficiency with basic PC skills and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply when applicable to territory needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or as a chef
- Bilingual skills beneficial for certain customer segments
Certificates, Licenses & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Current automobile insurance meeting required limits: Bodily injury $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; Property damage $100,000 (as stated by client)
- Ability to pass employment testing and to sign client-required protective covenants/agreement
- Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory
