Overview
This listing describes an Outside Sales Representative role supporting a confidential client in the foodservice distribution industry. The role is based in Syracuse, KS and focuses on territory development, account management, and customer success for foodservice customers (restaurants, institutional accounts, etc.). The posting includes a salary range of $44,200 – $73,600 per year plus incentive opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
- Seek and qualify prospects consistent with account stratification goals.
- Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that support customer objectives.
- Evaluate market trends and product innovations; provide value-added insights to customers.
- Answer product, pricing, availability, and usage questions; provide product training to customer staff.
- Drive to customer accounts, attend conventions and company meetings as required.
- Manage account receivables and coordinate with credit/transportation teams to resolve order issues.
- Participate in promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
- Complete administrative duties: prepare sales quotes, budgets, reports, and maintain records.
- Engage in ongoing training and assist with onboarding new sales staff when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range: $44,200 — $73,600 per year (reported by source).
- Eligibility for incentive/bonus plans.
- Potential car allowance or mileage reimbursement (location-dependent), and company-provided cell phone.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a sales internship where applicable.
- Valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance meeting company limits (Bodily injury: $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; Property damage: $100,000).
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.
- Ability to pass employment testing and execute required protective covenants as requested by the confidential client.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- English language proficiency required; bilingual candidates preferred.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef/culinary experience.
- Bilingual skills that support customer engagement across diverse segments.
