Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Spanish-speaking Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow accounts across the San Francisco Peninsula (territory covers San Bruno and surrounding areas). This outside sales role focuses on building relationships with new and existing accounts, supporting customers' business goals, and achieving territory sales and profit targets.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory.
  • Follow account stratification and prospecting plans to qualify leads and expand customer base.
  • Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that deliver value.
  • Advise customers on market trends, product innovations, pricing, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel as needed.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
  • Coordinate with credit and transportation teams to manage receivables and deliveries; resolve order issues (out-of-stock, special orders, low inventory).
  • Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, budgets, and reports; maintain accurate sales records.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events, and district meetings; engage in ongoing sales training.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new sales team members when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support territory goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven outside sales or B2B sales experience — restaurant management, culinary management, or chef backgrounds are highly relevant.
  • Spanish-speaking ability (this posting is targeted to Spanish-speaking candidates).
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting insurability standards.
  • Comfortable driving within a one-hour radius (with traffic) of the assigned territory (San Francisco Peninsula).
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to build trust and customer loyalty.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to manage sales reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, adaptability, and time-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience (or equivalent relatable experience, including completion of a sales internship).
  • Preferred: Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Must pass employment testing and sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants (as applicable).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Location & Requirements

  • Territory: San Francisco Peninsula (must live within ~1 hour driving distance of territory or be willing to relocate at your own expense).
  • Position requires regular travel within the assigned territory and occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
  • Driver and vehicle insurance requirements: automobile insurance and a driving record that meets company insurability standards. (Confidential Client will provide specific limits as part of the hiring process.)
  • This role is based in San Bruno, CA (onsite/outside sales).
