Sales Representative
The Sales Representative at Confidential Client is responsible for outside sales activities within the San Francisco territory, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships to achieve sales and profit goals. What You’ll Do
This outside sales role focuses on building and maintaining business relationships with foodservice customers across an assigned San Francisco (SoMa) territory. You’ll help customers succeed by recommending products and services, driving sales growth, and supporting day-to-day operational needs.
- Develop new business and expand existing accounts to meet territory sales and profit goals
- Qualify prospects and follow company account stratification goals
- Analyze customer needs; recommend product mixes, pricing, and promotional ideas
- Provide product information, demos, and practical training to customer staff
- Drive to customer accounts, company meetings and industry events
- Manage customer orders, troubleshoot order issues (special orders, inventory, out-of-stock items)
- Support accounts receivable collection efforts as needed in coordination with credit teams
- Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menu suggestions, and routine sales reports
- Participate in sales meetings, promotions, and customer events
- Engage in ongoing training; assist in onboarding new sales team members
- Perform other duties as assigned to support customer success and territory objectives
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales, or equivalent experience (including completion of an approved sales internship)
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance that meets company insurability standards
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
- Foodservice, restaurant management, or chef background
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Experience in territory or outside sales (restaurant or B2B channels)
Other Requirements
- Must reside within or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory (work territory: San Francisco area). Candidates should be able to reach the territory within one hour (including typical traffic) or relocate at their own expense.
- May be required to pass employment testing and sign applicable protective covenants required by the client.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay (job market estimate): $61,124 per year (estimated)

Location & Travel
- Location: SoMa / San Francisco, CA (territory-based outside sales)
