Role overview
This outside Sales Representative role with a Confidential Client in foodservice distribution focuses on building relationships with new and existing foodservice and restaurant customers across an assigned territory. You will promote product and service solutions, achieve sales and profit targets, and support customers with training and product recommendations.

What You’ll Do
- Develop new business and expand existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth across your territory.
- Seek, qualify, and prioritize prospects in line with account stratification goals.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend product and service mixes that deliver value.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; share insights with customers.
- Provide product information and hands-on training to customer staff.
- Drive to customer locations, meetings, conventions, and events as required.
- Manage order and delivery issues in coordination with operations and transportation teams.
- Communicate with credit/accounts receivable teams to help collect balances as needed.
- Prepare sales budgets, quotes, menus, and regular sales reports.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and company promotions.
- Assist in onboarding and training new sales team members when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B/outside sales experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per company insurability standards.
- Current automobile insurance meeting required limits (Bodily injury: $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; Property damage: $100,000).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
Preferred
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
- Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience is a plus.
- Completion of a sales internship or structured sales training is beneficial.
Requirements & Conditions
- Must pass employment testing.
- Must sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement.
- Some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) may be required.
