What You’ll Do

This outside Sales Representative role focuses on building and growing customer relationships within a defined territory in Roanoke, VA. You will promote product and service solutions that help customers succeed while meeting territory sales and profitability goals for the Confidential Client.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to drive profitable sales growth within your assigned territory.
  • Prospect, qualify leads, and execute territory plans that align with account stratification goals.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend product and service mixes to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, product innovations, and competitor activity to inform customer recommendations.
  • Provide product training and value-added support to customer personnel.
  • Manage order and delivery issues, working with operations and credit teams to resolve billing or inventory problems.
  • Drive to customer sites (local travel within territory); attend company and customer events as required.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, prepare quotes, and produce regular sales and margin reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training and assist with onboarding of new sales team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent experience, including completion of a recognized sales internship).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for territory travel.
  • Current automobile insurance meeting local legal requirements; specific insurance limits may be required by the Confidential Client.
  • Comfortable working occasional non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) when customer needs require it.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred

  • Restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Bilingual candidates with customer-facing experience in multicultural or ethnic food segments.

Note: The posting lists salary at 100000 per year. Exact compensation, benefits and eligibility will be provided by the Confidential Client during the hiring process.


Requirements & Screening

  • Willingness to submit to pre-employment checks (drug screen, background check) and to sign standard Confidential Client protective covenants where applicable.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the general vicinity of the assigned territory.
