Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to develop and grow business within an assigned territory based in Plympton, MA. This outside sales role focuses on building relationships with new and existing accounts, helping customers succeed, and meeting sales and profit goals. This is a full-time, field-based position that may require occasional evenings, weekends, and travel within the territory.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business, expand existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Seek and qualify prospects based on account stratification goals.
  • Research customer needs and recommend a mix of products and services to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; advise customers with value-added recommendations.
  • Provide product information, demonstrations, and practical training to customer personnel.
  • Drive your personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings as required.
  • Manage accounts receivable communication and coordinate with credit as needed.
  • Coordinate with the transportation team to manage order deliveries and troubleshoot order issues.
  • Participate in company promotions, customer events, and district sales meetings.
  • Complete administrative duties: sales forecasts, reports, quotes, and maintaining sales records.
  • Engage in ongoing training and support onboarding/training of new hires when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relevant experience (including completion of a sales internship).
  • Preferred: Bi-lingual candidates; prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting company insurability standards.
  • Current automobile insurance meeting required liability limits (Bodily injury - $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident; property damage - $100,000).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base pay: $56,576 per year (estimated).
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities and promotional incentives.
  • Car allowance / mileage reimbursement (note: mileage reimbursement policy varies by state; CA candidates may receive mileage reimbursement) and company-provided cell phone where applicable.

Requirements & Conditions

  • Must pass employment testing.
  • Must sign Confidential Client Protective Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory (Plympton, MA area).
  • This role may require some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) to meet customer needs.
