What You’ll Do

This outside territory Sales Representative will promote the Confidential Client’s products and services, build and grow customer relationships, and help customers achieve their business goals while meeting sales and profitability targets.

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to drive profitable sales growth within an assigned territory.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue prospects using company account stratification and lead-generation practices.
  • Research customer needs and recommend product/service mixes that meet those needs.
  • Present product information and provide practical training to customer personnel.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity and advise customers on product and pricing opportunities.
  • Manage orders, troubleshoot fulfillment issues (stock, special orders, inventory), and coordinate with credit and operations teams as needed.
  • Prepare sales reports, quotes, menu suggestions, and other administrative documentation.
  • Participate in sales meetings, promotions, customer events, and periodic training sessions.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new sales team members when requested.
  • Regularly drive a personal vehicle to customer accounts, company meetings, and industry events.

Who We’re Looking For

We want motivated sales professionals who can represent the Confidential Client in the field and deliver value to foodservice and hospitality customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field — OR HSD/GED plus 3 years of restaurant management, B2B, or outside sales experience (or equivalent experience, including completion of a recognized sales internship).
  • Proven outside sales or territory sales experience preferred; restaurant management or chef experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work some non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) when customer needs require.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the assigned territory.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong sales ability, persuasion, and customer-relationship skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a record of building trust and loyalty.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for territory travel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Must pass employment testing as required by the client.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $44,200 — $73,600 per year (provided in compliance with state pay transparency rules).
  • Competitive base salary plus bonus and promotional incentive opportunities.
  • Car allowance or mileage reimbursement (varies by location; mileage reimbursement available for candidates in CA) and a company-provided cell phone.

Location & Travel

  • Principal work location: New England, ND (assigned sales territory).
  • This is a field-based role that requires regular travel within the assigned territory and the use of a personal vehicle for customer calls, industry events, and meetings.
