Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to cover the East Valley territory based in Higley, AZ. This outside sales role focuses on building relationships with restaurant, hospitality and foodservice customers to drive profitable sales growth, provide product expertise, and support customer success. This is a full-time field role that may require working evenings, weekends or attending customer events.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop new business, grow existing accounts, and minimize lost business to meet territory sales and profit goals.
  • Prospect, qualify, and prioritize accounts following territory goals and account stratification.
  • Research customer needs and recommend the right mix of products and services.
  • Stay current on market trends, product innovations and competitor activity; share insights with customers.
  • Provide product information and hands-on training to customer staff.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to customer visits, trade shows, conventions and company meetings.
  • Coordinate with credit and operations teams to manage receivables, orders and deliveries; troubleshoot order issues (e.g., out-of-stock or special-order items).
  • Participate in customer promotions, events, district and sales meetings.
  • Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, sales reports and budgets; maintain accurate sales records.
  • Engage in ongoing sales training and assist with onboarding new sales employees as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED plus 3 years’ restaurant management, B2B or outside sales experience (or equivalent), including completion of a recognized sales internship.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • Current automobile insurance with required liability limits (see below).
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual candidates are a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Prior restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or chef experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred).
  • Demonstrated territory management and B2B selling experience.

Requirements & Conditions

  • Pass required employment testing.
  • Sign Confidential Client’s protective covenants / proprietary agreements as a condition of employment.
  • Reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
  • Insurance minimums expected: bodily injury $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident; property damage $100,000 (verify with hiring team).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base: $44,533 per year (estimated). Additional compensation may include bonus/commission, promotional incentives, and car allowance or mileage reimbursement where applicable.
